Terms of Use

By downloading or using Busted you accept these terms. They supplement Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which applies to every app distributed on the App Store.

1. What Busted is

Busted is a work of detective fiction. The phones, characters, companies, addresses, conversations and documents in it are invented. Any resemblance to real people would be coincidental. The game accesses no real data, neither yours nor anyone else's, and is in no sense a surveillance tool.

2. Licence

Fumei grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Busted on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, decompile, resell or redistribute the app or its content.

3. Free content and subscription

The first eight questions of every case are free. Busted Premium unlocks the remaining questions, every case — including the ones published each week — and unlimited hints.

Prices shown are for France; they vary by country and currency, and the exact amount is shown to you by the App Store before any payment.

4. Free trial, renewal and cancellation

The yearly plan includes a three-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your App Store account is charged.

Any subscription renews automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The charge occurs within the 24 hours before renewal.

You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a purchase is made.

5. Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Fumei has no technical means of refunding an App Store purchase.

6. Third-party trademarks

The game features apps inspired by existing services. The trademarks, names and logos referenced belong to their respective owners. Their appearance is narrative recreation within a work of fiction and implies no partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.

7. Age requirement

Busted deals with adult themes: infidelity, break-ups, suggestive content. It is rated 17+ and is not intended for minors.

8. Warranties and liability

Busted is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Fumei offers no warranty of continuous availability or freedom from errors, and cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. Mandatory consumer-law provisions remain applicable.

9. Changes

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published on this page. Substantial changes will be signalled inside the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought before any legal action.
